Hyderabad, May. 27. Don Bosco Nava Nirman, Muniguda (Odisha), of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad, supplied free food kits to migrant labourers, slum-dwellers, rag-pickers, beggars, street vendors and tribal families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and all in need of support. The kits were distributed from May 24 to 26.
Don Bosco, Muniguda, with the support of Bosco Seva Kendra, Hyderabad, also distributed essential food materials (rice, dal, cooking oil, fruits, vegetables, masks and biscuits) to over 300 families. Father P. Arul Das SDB, the Director, spearheaded the programme with the collaboration of the community members. The Salesians also visited Bosco Study Centres in the tribal villages and distributed fruits to the children.
