Don Bosco Higher Education India (DB-HEI) is a network of Don Bosco Higher Education Institutes in India. We have 42 Institutes of Higher Education in India through which we help many young people to graduate and prepare them to face life.
Most of the students who have studied in our colleges or polytechnic Institutes do well in life because of the holistic education they have received with us. Responding to the new challenges of Higher Education in India, we Salesians have set up norms to abide by the strict measures of quality control laid down by both University Grants Commission and National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
There are many initiatives taken up by Don Bosco Higher Education India: enhancing the faculty resources, emphasising professional competency, rejuvenation of infrastructure, capacity building of the students, remedial coaching, offering online resources for research, building social consciousness and imparting holistic education.
The first college to be started by the Salesians of Don Bosco in India was St. Anthony’s College in Shillong and followed by Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur in South India. With the establishment of Don Bosco University in Guwahati (Assam) in March 2008, Salesians of Don Bosco have taken a giant step forward in the higher education arena.
Don Bosco Higher Education Institutes in India endeavour not merely to spread knowledge but to impart values and skills that lead to holistic development of the individual and the society.
We take quality education to the rural and tribal areas and the less privileged section of the society, offering student-friendly professional and employment oriented courses, increasing relevance in empowering the poor youth.
