Online Meeting with Fr. Rafael Bejarano - General Councilor for Youth Ministry. June 16, 2025.

Don Rafael Bejarano, the New General Councilor for Youth Pastoral Ministry convened the first online meeting with the Youth Delegate of Don Bosco Animation South Asia and his core team on 16 June 2025 at 02:30 pm. The participants were namely the coordinators of Four Dimension of Salesian Youth Ministry: Fr. John Parankimalil, Coordinator of Educational and Cultural Dimension; Fr. Francisco Pareira, Coordinator of Education to Faith Dimension, Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj, Coordinator of Vocational Dimension and Fr. Patrick Lepcha, coordinator of Social Experience Dimension.
Way Forward for SYM LEADS South Asia Region

We the members of Salesian Youth Movement representatives of South Asia gathered at Nitika Don Bosco, Provincial House of Kolkata (26 -27 April 2025) have taken these Way Forward Resolutions to guide us in our animation of SYM in South Asia Region. We promise to implement these together with the guidance of Youth Ministry Delegates and SYM Directors of our provinces.

Journing in Hope with young people
Dear Friends,
Well, we are already in the third month of the year 2025. It is so true that ‘time and tide waits for none’. Change is the only reality that is constant. In this rapidly changing universe, what can provide us with certainty? Here we turn to our Mother Church and our congregation. They are showing us the paths to follow and secure our journey with the theme of “HOPE”.
Pope Francis has declared this year 2025 as a Special Jubilee Year with the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”. We are invited to journey together in a synodal manner with never dying HOPE. Our universe faced a great calamity during the Covid 19 pandemic. There was so much of death and gloom. The war on Ukraine and Gaza has added another set of hopelessness.

‘Love’ is a much-used word when speaking about teacher-pupil relationships, and yet it is usually glossed over, and often dismissed as a pious platitude.
